Kirsten Wallace, Sales and Rental associate
From a very young age I was obsessed with housing. It started with my first doll house, and then another and another. I was constantly redecorating and rearranging. Then I moved on to pouring over books of house plans and eventually drawing up house plans of my own on my father’s grid paper. Architecture fascinated me. I thought that would be my calling.
Realizing that math and engineering were not my strong points, I instead graduated from Clemson University 1986 with a degree in Business Administration and Marketing. After graduation I went to work as a Marketing Analyst for Michelin Tire Headquarters in Greenville, SC. Then the first baby came. After my oldest started Kindergarten, I went back to work in purchasing as a buyer for the Waffle House chain in Atlanta. At that time, I also started dabbling in Interior Design. I come from a long line of design savvy relatives with all sorts of art degrees. We then moved to Lincoln, Nebraska where I worked for a computer reseller and then an Interior Design studio for several years until our son was born. Shortly thereafter we moved to Minneapolis.
Eventually we made it back to the East Coast to New Hampshire. I again started working for a Design Studio in Hampton. The recession forced the closure of the business. I took a position in reception for a local chiropractor as our daughter was now in college. I eventually realized this is not where my interests and talents were suited, so I joined a real estate agency in Rye starting off as a rental agent and then eventually getting my real estate license. I was now at least working again in the housing industry!
Since then I left that agency and joined Madden Realtors, an agency that better suited me, handling the rentals and as a sales associate. It was the best decision! I enjoy the relationships I have formed over the years with rental owners, tenants and sales clients. It’s a beautiful thing when a career and a passion come together!
