Megan was Texas born and raised in a small town near Austin. After graduating from Texas State in 2004, Megan worked for two years at the Teen Parenting Program in San Marcos. Her father, owner of a surveying business, encouraged her to consider the real estate field. So, Megan obtained her license and joined a RE/MAX team in 2006 to begin her new career.
Her first few years in real estate were pre-recession, but she quickly learned to adapt to the changing market by studying and learning about short sales and foreclosures. Megan was successful in helping many distressed homeowners sell their homes and avoid foreclosures. By 2012 the real estate market rebounded, and she adapted to the fast-moving market in the greater Austin area. Since that time, she has consistently been awarded the 100% Club status through RE/MAX. She also honors her clients at each closing by donating to Take My Home pet transport for a local animal shelter, Children’s Miracle Network and Hope Alliance, a local domestic violence and abuse shelter.
Megan was given the prestigious Texas RE/MAX Hall of Fame award in 2017. This honor is given to less than 23% of all active RE/MAX real estate agents since it’s inception. In 2018, she was chosen by her broker to receive the Capital City Achievement award in which recognizes those in her company who through their service, their commitment to excellence, and their dedication to RE/MAX and our values, represent the core existence of RE/MAX Capital City. She consistently appears in her company’s quarterly and yearly Top 10, and in the Top 20 for the Austin Area RE/MAX Council.
Since she works tirelessly to develop and maintain close relationships in all her transactions, the majority of her business is generated by referrals from her satisfied clients and friends. Buying and/or selling a home is a life-changing experience. Communication and setting expectations are so important in real estate transactions and you will find Megan to be proactive at both. As Megan always says, “My priority is YOU! My goal is to be the real estate professional who exceeds your expectations by providing extraordinary customer service!” No matter the market and no matter the challenge, Megan’s experience as a real estate professional gives her clients a distinct edge in the buying or selling process.
At home, Megan enjoys spending time with her two rowdy sons and husband Michael. Michael has been in the business of home building for 15+ years, employed at multiple new home builders throughout the area. She considers to be a bonus and great asset to her real estate business. Megan feels incredibly blessed to have a career that gives her the ability to enjoy her sons, participate in their lives and have quality time with her family.
