What makes a successful real estate professional? Integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills, and a high-quality professional network … all hallmarks of how I have practiced real estate, full-time, since becoming licensed in March of 1984. That experience means I’ve “been there,” survived, and thrived through all kinds of markets and all kinds of economic challenges. Fully 80% of my sales have been referrals from past clients and customers and their families.
My goal throughout my career has been to make each and every buyer and seller feel as if he or she is my only buyer, my only seller. Not an easy task but certainly a worthwhile and reachable goal!
This means remaining accessible, being a good listener as well as a thorough communicator, and responding quickly to your needs. Most difficult but important is achieving balance in my life. My children (all grown) are most important: sons Michael and Chris Tomaloff, daughters Amanda Novak Troutman and Shana Novak, of my late husband Bill Novak, and Amanda's family (husband Patrick and children Noah and Lilly). Then there's my cat, Helen, who is of course especially demanding -- aren't all cats?
