About Me

Born and raised in Reno NV, Patricia graduated from Reno High School in the 70’s. While working for Bill Harrah in his Ferrari Distributorship she met her husband Alan, who was the Technical Representative for Ferrari. After Mr. Harrah’s death in 1979 they moved to Los Angeles where Patty went to work for Mercedes Benz of North America as Controller and later Product Placement. During this time, they raised 4 children including a daughter Rachael, now 30 who was born deaf. When Mercedes Benz closed their Hollywood, CA facility in 1994, Patty, along with a few other mothers, formed TRIPOD Captioned Films, bringing first run feature films to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing throughout the United States. Once her children were grown, Patty realized what she had left behind in Reno, so after obtaining her Real Estate license in 2002 she joined the fast paced world of Reno real estate. Patty served as the Chair of the Access Advisory Board for the City of Reno and was on the planning committee for Reno’s Disability Awareness Day. She helped found the Reno Super Adoption Day for animals held in May 2008 at the Washoe County Fairgrounds. Patty also chaired the 2008 “An Affur to Remember“for the Northern Nevada SPCA and was on the 2009 Committee for the event, she again chaired the 2010 event. She and Alan fostered puppies for the organization. She recently received the “Spirit Award“from the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Sierra Chapter for her work with the SPCA and other charities in Washoe County. She now runs “For Pets Sake“the first independent rescue in Washoe County. Patty is also knowledgeable in Sign Language. In what little spare time she has, Patty loves the outdoors, needlework, her grand children and animals. In 2016 she moved her business to Remax Professionals and along with her business partner, Anita Spencer they formed the “Heroes & Hounds Team” finding homes for our local heroes (firefighter, teachers, medical, veterans) and of course our furry fr
