About Me

Drawn by towering forests, glacier clad peaks and a youthful urban culture, Matt, born and raised in Vermont, moved to Seattle in 1992. He soon fell in love with the city and its easy-going vibe. Behind the wheels of his bicycle, he explored the City’s neighborhoods and developed a keen interest in the built environment. He loved the mix of urban and nature, proximity to fantastic backpacking and living in a place that was creating the future. In 2003 Matt graduated from the University of WA with degrees in Economics and Urban Planning. He spent the next ten years managing the development and sales of several Seattle condominium buildings as well as the rehabilitation of a turn of the century tenement building into the Wing Luke Asian Museum. This experience was great training for a real estate broker. Serving as the Seller’s representative he learned the importance of marketing and presentation in the sales process. Working with dozens of new homeowners he learned that patience, empathy and teaching skills were important attributes of the best real estate agents. In 2013 Matt followed his passion for customer service and real estate and became a real estate broker. He understands that every client will have a unique set of goals and circumstances ranging from the excitement and trepidation of a first-time homebuyer to the economic value approach of a seasoned investor. For buyers, he will leave no stone unturned to find that special home, handle negotiations, project manage due diligence and closing processes and be there for years after to recommend contractors, provide advice on home maintenance, or whatever may come up. For sellers, Matt will help devise and execute a plan for getting a home ready for market, conduct research to determine an optimum listing price, manage all marketing utilizing all of the technology tools available, as well as manage negotiations and closing process to ensure the best possible outcome for his client.
