I grew up in Michigan on a dairy farm and that is where I learned common sense, hard work, and responsibility. I became quite competitive since I showed my prized Guernsey cow at the State Fair and proudly won showmanship. I attended Michigan State University and majored in English, and French (Liberal Arts).
I married Stan Durst from Brooklyn, New York and we moved to Burbank, CA where Stan worked at Lockheed. We welcomed our beloved son, Bryan, and I enjoyed being a homemaker for the first few years.
In 1971, Stan and I obtained our real estate licenses and worked together to sell town homes and manage apartments in El Paso, Texas for a CA based company. We eventually moved back to the Bay Area where we managed a 1000 unit apartment complex in San Jose. In 1976, Stan and I began our career in residential real estate in Hayward before joining an agency in Fremont, where we quickly rose to the top of the profession through hard work and constant education and learning. In 1992, we became brokers/owners of the Fremont agency and successfully operated the company before joining REMAX in Livermore in 2005.
In 2007 we officially became part of REMAX Accord where we have maintained our professional status and continued to enjoy serving clients in and around
Livermore, Fremont, Newark, UC, Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton, San Leandro, Castro Valley, and San Ramon.
In 2013, Stan passed away. Today, I am fortunate to be able to maintain my role as a professional Realtor with REMAX Accord, helping sellers, first time homebuyers, seasoned buyers, seniors who are making the transition to less expensive housing, retirees, and now the children of the people I originally sold to.
I specialize in the sale and purchase of single family residences, condos, town homes, 1031 exchanges, foreclosures and flipping homes. I have purchased, flipped, and sold many foreclosure properties myself and know what is involved.
