Jemila Winsey is an award-winning real estate broker and the co-owner of RE/MAX Legacy Living and RE/MAX 1st Class. With 60 associates, she leads the largest black-owned brokerage in the city according to the Houston Black Real Estate Association. Jemila has been named to the list of Top 20 Realtors Under 40 by the Houston Association of Realtors; the Greater Houston Builders Association Million Dollar Circle; and one of the top RE/MAX of Texas teams, among other accolades.
Jemila's companies have achieved nearly $180 million in sales in 2019 and over $350 million since opening in 2016. She operates the number one RE/MAX office in both League City and Richmond, and she has closed nearly 2,000 transactions.
Prior to starting a career in real estate, Jemila previously owned and operated several entities in the technology, retail and hospitality industries. In addition to being a business owner, her track record of success also includes a corporate career, where she enjoyed roles at some of the largest companies in the world.
Jemila has served as an advisory board member for the Houston Association of Realtors. She is a trustee for the Texas Real Estate Political Action Committee, and chairperson of the Fort Bend Political Action Leadership Group among other designations.
Outside of work, Jemila is the author of the book The ABCs of BPOs, which guides readers on creating cash flow for their real estate business. She enjoys giving back to the community, and often serves as a mentor and coach to others, including her work as a member of the board of directors for Kids Charity.
Jemila graduated from the University of Houston, where she studied information systems and marketing. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband Patrick and their two sons.
