Melissa grew up in Sonoma County and graduated from Healdsburg High. Once her youngest child was in school, she got a job at the local trauma hospital working in the ER as a patient representative. The ER taught her skills of multitasking, prioritizing, and customer service all in a high stress environment.
Growing up in a family of entrepreneurs, Melissa soon realized she wanted to be her own boss. She converted a school bus in to a food truck, and created a successful cupcake business. Melissa was also hired as a escrow transaction coordinator for Vicki Thiessen. It was then the light bulb went off. She received her real estate license in February of 2013, but knew it might take some time to get going. She sold her food truck, quit the hospital, and opened a fitness franchise. Melissa managed her business, her employees, the finances….all the responsibilities of a business owner while still keeping her real estate up to date. In November of 2016, she jumped full time in to real estate. The skills she learned along the way are what makes her a great agent. She handles high stress situations while keeping others at ease, she’s learned to multitask and prioritize her day all while putting her clients first, and has developed strong relationships along the way that are not only clients but friends. Whether it being a cupcake experience, helping with fitness goals, or now….achieving your real estate needs….when she sets her mind to do something, it gets done!
