Ask Me About Real Estate!!
My first taste of Real Estate started in the 1970\'s when my mother was a Realtor. As a young man I used to deliver contracts to other brokers, place signs in the yards of new listings and even water and mow the yards.
I am a third generation Coloradoan. In 1979 I moved to the Valley that I have since called home. This is also where I studied and earned my degree in Photography and Graphic Communications. I worked as a raft guide and ski bum on occasion.
I have been licensed since 2001 where I started as a Buyer\'s agent for a top producer in the Valley. I then transferred my license to RE/MAX as a Broker Associate. In 2006 I opened and operated my own brokerage Lohse Real Estate, which I ran until this year. When I decided to return to RE/MAX, I chose to return to RE/MAX Country for the quality of its people and the Company.
In 2008 my wife Lisa and I adopted our youngest son who was 3 1/2 at the time. Very soon after that my wife was diagnosed with a rare cancer. Life was changing rapidly, and we decided it was best for me to be a stay at home Dad, since we could not switch insurance at this critical time. Lisa continued to work, about three years later she lost her battle with cancer. (Things do come in 3s). Since the loss of my wife, my main priority has been raising my two boys.
My two boys Hunter and Larenzo have kept me very busy, we love to spend time together as well as with family and friends. We hike, raft, boat, ski, camp and love summer barbeques. I am a Hockey Dad and a lot of my time is spent driving my boys to and from practice and games, sometimes it is as early as 4:30 a.m., other times we don\'t get home until almost midnight. We have traveled across the Western States and a few times out of the country. I am a big supporter of the local hockey teams and other youth sports.
My past and present volunteering includes the Grizzly Hockey team, local schools, helping with the elderly, Sunlight Race Club, Habitat for Humanity builds, trail clean up and Relay for Life. In the Fall of 2017 I started my third term on the Glenwood Springs Association of Realtors Board of Directors.
For my clients…… I want to make sure the property is right for them, it’s not just about closing the deal.
