Those who golf may know of The Ridge, a lovely little nine-hole public course in Chittenango. But you may not know they also have a wonderful bar and restaurant with a great atmosphere and even better food! The locally sourced menu has a fondness for all things bacon, but there are also plenty of options for all palates. Dine on multi-level decks overlooking the course, or inside at the cozy tavern or restaurant. Live music on Wednesdays and Fridays complete the scene!

Chittenango Landing Canal Boat Museum is part of the historic Erie Canal Park. It is a historic preservation area that represents the way life was in the years that the Erie Canal was still operating in the area. The canal was built to facilitate the movement of products from Lake Erie to New York City, connecting existing waterways so goods could move easily through the area. It extends from Buffalo to Rome. This park feature includes a dry dock, library, picnic area, saw mill, blacksmith and gift shop. It's an opportunity to connect with the past and learn a little history of the area. Located on Lakeport Rd and open from late spring to early fall.

If you are looking for an amazing place to take your family, don't pass by The Wild Park and Zoo. With an array of animals such as lions, tigers, alligators, black bears, kangaroos and soon to arrive a giraffe. You've never been so close to wild animals and the place is immaculate.

The Chittenango Falls State Park is one of the prettiest places in Madison County. The Chittenango Creek tumbles over 400 million year old glacial bedrock to the creek bed 167 feet below. It's a magical place. Stand on the wooden bridge that spans the falls and feel the refreshing spray or climb down into the gorge and experience a tropical jungle feel in the midst of Upstate NY. A destination for locals and tourists. A great place to snap some photos of family and friends.
