  • Looking for one of the newest, coolest co-work spaces within a few miles of New York City, Hoboken or Jersey City? This is it ! Kearny Point is a 130 acre reuse space, formerly the site of the Federal Shipyard and Dry Dock Company during WW I and WW II. The space conveniently sits between Newark and Jersey City.

If you are looking for floating desk space, a conference room, private office, team office, retail space, a creative loft/studio or a heavy duty commercial space, you have found it. With flexibility as to space and time, whether just for a day, week, month or a longer term lease, Kearny Point offers a host of options and customization. Whether you are a start up, media professional, artist or just need to host a business meeting in a creative waterfront environment with stunning New York skyline views, you need to take a look at Kearny Point.

Your new work space includes amenities galore! Brand new modern furnishings, plug and play data access, high speed internet, 24/7 access for early birds and night owls, complimentary beverage stations on each floor and free parking, just to name a few. You can share ideas with neighbors at the Dry Dock Cafe or on the rooftop deck space. Dogs are welcome, so you can bring your fur baby to work. Future parking spaces and a marina are in the works.

All of this was accomplished in an eco-conscious manner. Check into the tax incentives and credits for your business with Grow NJ and the Kearny UEZ. Plans start at $50 a week and there is a one day free trial. What better way to test the waters, get your business off the ground and impress clients.

As a resident of Kearny, I find this project very exciting because the history of Kearny's shipyard and its 30,000 workers will now transform into our own Kearny Silicon Valley.

  • We are finally almost there. Workers are busy getting the new dog park ready. We can see daily progress, fencing, mulch, walkways and more.

The property, located at Passaic and South Midland Avenues, is designed to accommodate two, separate dog runs: One 10,200 square-foot parcel will be designated for pooches 35 pounds and heavier while a neighboring 6,500 square-foot space will be available for dogs under 35 pounds. Owners will guide their dogs through the gateway access point before releasing them into the appropriate fenced-in run space.

There will be water “fountains” for dogs of all sizes as well as “poop” collection bag stations. Trees and benches complete the picture. Local canine advocates moved the town into action to provide such a facility, which, they said, is desperately needed by pooches yearning to run free in the outdoors.
  • We are finally there! After the last few years of petitions, meetings, and searching out funds, we finally had the grand opening of Kearny's first off leash dog park on May 10th. It took a "village" of supporters, the town council and the mayor to make it happen. Local canine advocates moved the town into action to provide such a facility, which, they said, is desperately needed by pooches yearning to run free in the outdoors.

  • Kearny will finally have a dog park soon! Last week we broke ground at the future site with the Mayor, Council members and local advocates who worked tirelessly for over three years. The dog park will compliment the community and butterfly gardens that flank the site. The greenspace along Passaic Avenue nicely balances all the new development along this strip that includes a new BJ's Warehouse and LA Fitness among other big box stores.
  • Finally, we are very close to the ground breaking for our Kearny Dog Park, after many years and a lot of effort by many community members. At times, it seemed like all was lost and we could not secure funding. But perseverance has paid off! Now, West Hudson County will have a place for neighbors to meet and our fur friends to be off leash. Check our Facebook page Dog Park for Kearny Nj.
