  • Growing up in the Farnerville section of Burlington City was like having your parents' eyes everywhere you turned. Kids played outside, the neighbors all knew each other and as time has gone on, many have decided to stay close by to their parents and raise their children in this small, yet close knit community . If you are just starting out or downsizing, the Farnerville section of Burlington City offers an array of homes to fit most budgets. The Samuel Smith Elementary School is nestled in the heart of Farnerville and most aides and crossing guards have seen many students from the beginning of their early school years and until they start their journey on to middle school. The neighborhood all comes out during the big school Halloween parade, book fairs, and special events held throughout the school year.
