Your "Hometown Homegrown Realtor"
Born and raised in Staunton, I have yet to find anyplace else I would rather live, which makes promoting the city and the surrounding area a real pleasure and not just an occupation. I specialize in residential real estate, townhouses and condos. I was licensed in 1985 and joined Re/Max in 1994 when our company (then Sweeney and Associates) became Re/Max Advantage.
During my 31-year career, I have witnessed Staunton’s revitalization with great interest, including the remodeling of the Stonewall Jackson Hotel and Conference Center, the opening of our exciting American Shakespeare Theater, the addition of our charming trolleys to escort visitors around town, and later this year our own Mary Baldwin College will become Mary Baldwin University. I have seen Staunton evolve from a sleepy little burg into one of the state’s (if not the nation’s) premier tourist destinations. Countless publications and websites include Staunton on their “must see” lists.
I am a graduate of Augusta County’s Riverheads High School and still support that community at every opportunity. However, I can assure you that all our schools have outstanding reputations and test scores. Upon graduation from RHS, I obtained a BS degree from James Madison University (then Madison College) and returned to the Riverheads community where I taught elementary school for 11 years before embarking on my real estate career.
I like to call myself your “hometown homegrown realtor”, so it will be my pleasure to show you around the area I know and love.
