Full time, Full service
Thirty years of marriage will teach you a thing or two about what makes a great partnership. Kay and Glen Popejoy have always approached their relationship as partners through their many moves during Glen’s 22 year military career and now as the newest additions to the RE/MAX Southern Coast Real Estate Team.
The couple moved to Boiling Spring Lakes a year ago after first visiting the area when Glen was offered a job at Sunny Point. “The area really chose us. We fell in love with the small town atmosphere of Southport, the beaches of Oak Island and the Boiling Spring Lakes community. We live on one of the smaller lakes and feel that we have discovered the best of all worlds” said Kay
Kay began her real estate career as an agent in Waynesville, MO in 2002 while Glen was serving at Ft. Leonard Wood. Once he retired from the Army ,Glen joined her in the business four years later. That is when he realized that real estate is his passion.
Glen and Kay attribute the strong sense of teamwork being the driving force behind the Popejoy’s decision to join RE/MAX Southern Coast. “We felt an instant connection to Robert, Donna, and Fred and the culture that we found there…welcoming, approachable and enthusiastic.
The Popejoy’s business philosophy can be summed up as providing “Personalized, professional and full-time service.” Keeping clients informed and involved throughout the entire buying and selling process is key. “Kay is an awesome agent. She relates very well with people and is incredibly detail focused. She takes the extra time to make sure that everything is done right. Our experiences of living in many places and embracing the diversity of other cultures translates naturally to what we do in real estate. Understanding that just as every person is different , so are their needs. We want to build relationships, establish trust and assist each individual in reaching their goals whether they are buying or selling for the first time, looking for a second home or investment property, or searching for a place to call home in their retirement.
Glen and Kay have two sons, two daughters and six grandchildren. When not busy working, they try to give back to the community in some way. Recently they have become involved with the Oak Island Beach Ambassadors. “We love the beach and the outdoors and look forward to exploring new places. We put family first and take every opportunity to spend time with our children and their families. Life is good and we are enjoying every minute of it!”
