The Crouch Team
What sets you apart from other Realtors?
With over 25 years experience in the real estate industry, real estate is the only profession and business I’ve ever known. Over the years, I’ve participated in closing thousands of homes sales and feel my hands on experience along with my unwavering commitment to the industry and my client’s 100% satisfaction is what sets me and my team apart.
What makes your business unique?
Our team is made of up family members and our mission is to treat our customers and clients like family. Together we have over 45 years experience helping buyers and sellers get successfully from one door to the next. While we love apps, there’s no app for real live experience. And they always say family is the one thing you can count on, we pride ourselves in you being about to count on us!
What is the history/background of your business?
I started my journey in real estate in 1991, just after graduating high school. My dad had a terminal blood disease and we knew he would pass that year. Instead of going away to college as planned, I stayed home and attended community college in order to be with dad through the end. While going to school I got a part time job and as a receptionist at a local real estate company.
What led you to real estate as a career?
Dad died that November leaving my mom and three year old brother alone. I felt a calling to stay home to take care of them and not head away to college for a while. I loved learning about the real estate business and quickly decided to get my real estate license and continue my education in the real estate industry.
After working in the front office of the first company, I went to a large Coldwell Banker firm in Richmond where I worked alongside the owners for five years. Then I joined two top producing Realtors and assisted them in opening a Century 21 office. When I relocated to Roanoke I initially chose Owens & Company because it was the largest locally owned and operated firm. Once they decided to sell, I joined RE/MAX knowing they had become the largest franchise in the industry.
Why are you passionate about being a realtor?
In the beginning since I didn’t go back to college after dad’s passing, I always had an unwavering desire to succeed and do well. I always felt a little less than equal because I didn’t finish college, so felt I had to overcome that with success. In high school I was voted most likely to succeed and I wanted that to be true. I also wanted to make my dad proud of me!
Now, it’s about being a difference for our customers, clients, other agents, affiliates, and our community. It’s about leading, giving back, contributing, and making a difference for others while glorifying our awesome God for making all things possible through him and with him!
Are there any notable awards, certifications, or affiliations that directly represent your business?
My first year in the business, I got an award for selling the cheapest home that year. I love that our team doesn’t focus on any one specific price range, area, or special market. We welcome everyone who is looking to buy or sell. I am very honored to have been inducted into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame, received the Lifetime Achievement Award and most recently been awarded the highest ranked award from RE/MAX, The Chairman’s Club.
What direct benefits or value do you offer to your clients?
Experience, knowledge, expertise, a true care and concern for their best interest, needs, wants, desires and goals. Integrity, honesty, dependability, and in the end, results.
Are there any tips or secrets that you could offer someone looking to buy a home?
Get educated up front and go into the process with eyes wide open. And by all means, have an agent help you through the process. You can’t Google experience or do
