After 10 years in the business between California and Texas, the one thing I stress to my clients and to associates who are just starting, is that you have to make sure you know the market based on logic and facts, with integrity. The client is talking to you because you are the expert, and as the expert, it is your responsibility to make sure they have the facts and numbers that apply and know how to explain them and why. You may be the one Realtor bucking the trend, but you will not be simply telling the client what they want to hear. The client will appreciate that in the long run, and definitely respect your integrity and trust your knowledge to get their real estate needs completed. Everyday is a learning day, as in this industry, there is no such thing as a perfect transaction. As long as we as Realtors keep an open mind to the newest trends and technologies, and uphold a proper etiquette and skill in communications, we will only excel in the industry.
