Wow, it’s better than I ever imagined. That was Roy’s first thought when he arrived in Miami from a small town in Maine, to study Business Administration and Marketing at the University of Miami, back in 1968. He has experienced Miami thru all of the economic, social and technological changes that have made South Florida the International Business and Vacation destination that it is today.

His family’s story resonates with many others in South Florida, Craftsman-Artisan Grandparents immigrating from Quebec Province, Canada to the United States, looking for better economic opportunities and a brighter future for their young families, father starting Building Supply business in 1958 that is still family operated and going strong today with the children becoming the first generation in the family ever to go to college.

The message was clear, working with his Father at the sales counter of that building supply business: “You don’t stay in business unless you treat the customers right!” During a professional history including retail, service businesses, wholesale, manufacturing, 14 years of residential Real Estate brokerage, 12 years of commercial office leasing, equity lending and mortgage brokerage, customer service and doing the right thing, these have always been the hallmarks of Roy’s approach to doing business. Doing the right thing, it’s the Golden Rule that still guides Roy every day.

Roy lives in Coconut Grove, a historical village within the City of Miami. “It’s an amazing place to be, I can walk to shopping and restaurants at Cocowalk, enjoy the fresh bay breezes and sunsets at Dinner Key Marina plus most cultural activities, beaches, theatres are just a few minutes away.”

When it’s time to relax, it’s most probably going to be time spent enjoying the outdoors; swimming, the beaches & parks, snorkeling, fishing, urban exploring, with time set aside for concerts, movies, theatre and discovering that next great place for Greek, Seafood, Mediterranean, or just a good ole real juicy cheeseburger (in Paradise).

Besides being actively involved in real estate brokerage services for individual buyers and sellers, he is also exclusive agent for a local developer, who has designed and is currently building energy efficient, storm resistant, reasonably priced homes in the City of Miami.
