It’s the Experience
Luis A. Espino was born and raised in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba. His parents sent him “temporarily” to the US in October of 1960 for fear of persecution by the Castro regime. Growing up Luis attended el Colegio de Dolores and Belen, both highly rated Jesuit-run docent institutions, until the 4th year of Bachillerato, completing his high school from Coral Gables Sr. High in Coral Gables, FL in 1962. Thereafter Luis Joined the US Army during the Cuban Missile crisis being honorably discharges and granted US citizenship in 1963.
Luis graduated with honors from the University of Miami in 1967 with a degree in business and a major in economics.
After graduation, an opportunity to join the executive development program of the Chase Manhattan bank transferred Luis to New York where he attended NYUs graduate school at nights towards his MBA also with a concentration in economics.
After stints at Argentina and Puerto Rico Luis returned to his “hometown”, Miami, in 1973 when he was appointed senior commercial lender at the Royal Trust Bank. In 1978 Luis joined a family business group engaged in residential and commercial developments until 1999. Thereupon Luis joined Cresa Partners, a national real estate corporate advisory firm, as executive advisor to national accounts such as; Knight Ridder, World Fuel Services, and Laird Plastics until his retirement in 2009.
In 2011 the Major of Coral Gables appointed Luis to the city’s property advisory board where he has served since 2015 as its Chairman to date.
On that same year Luis Joined RE/MAX United Realty commercial division where he continues to serve clients demands for outstanding results.
