Building life long relationships...one at a time!
My name is Maya Galletta, born in Caracas Venezuela to Maya and Manuel Palacios. Oldest of four and first grandchild to my maternal grandmother who I call Nona. I was name Mayaribe after my mother who was named Mayaribe by a stranger in the hospital she was born in. The woman told me grandmother it meant "queen" and she went with it!
My parents moved to the Florida in '78 all the way out by the Everglades to a small town known as Bonaventure. Today you would know it as Weston. I graduated from Saint Thomas Aquinas High School where I was a cheerleader, played soccer and met the most amazing group of friends I still have today. I later moved Boston to pursue a degree in communications at Emerson College. When the cold was more than my blood could handle I returned to Florida to finish off at FAU and switched my interests to Education.
During my teaching days I worked part time in the restaurant industry where I met my wonderful husband and realized my passion for "people".
After starting a family I decided I wanted to do something that would give me flexibility and the opportunity to interact with people on a regular bases. After searching for my first home I immediately decided to go to real estate school.
I am a very proud mom and wife and truly enjoy my time with them. While my schedule is unpredictable I don't miss a soccer game or Taekwondo graduation unless its an emergency. My family is priority and my clients know and appreciate this.
Today after 17 years; I have sold, helped sell, rent and manage properties for 100's of clients (likely 1000's) in both South Florida and North Carolina! I have a love and passion for what I do. I do not consider this a job rather something I chose to do because I love it. My clients range from first time home buyers, foreign investors and landlords to luxury second home buyers. My buyers will tell you that I get just as excited about the 100k home as the multi-million dollar one. If it makes my client happy it makes me happy! My service goes beyond the closing and truly allows me to form life time relationships.
I am am advocate for under privileged children, donate a portion of every single commission to the Childrens Miracle Network. I am a long time volunteer at the SPCA, yearly contribute to Make a Wish Foundation and Chairperson for The Pretty in Pink Foundation MacGregor Classic. I wear these many hats with humility for I know how absolutely blessed I am to have a beautiful family, a career I love and a support system that is awesome!
And when you are looking for me in the mornings...you will likely find me at the tennis courts!
