With a long history of working in small businesses throughout her career, Tamar has come to appreciate the nuances of building strong, tight-knit teams. Stemming from a wide array of experiences in consumer products, education, and most recently as Chief Operating Officer of a regulatory change solutions company in the financial services industry, she brings a vast knowledge that helps provide perspective and efficiencies in managing the operations of a high growth company. Under her leadership and strategy implementation, she guided the company through revenue growth of over 1000%, employee growth of over 700%, and assisted in gaining preferred vendor status at one of the world’s largest financial institutions. But for her, it’s really all about the people: helping to foster collaborative, fun environments where team members feel encouraged, supported and appreciated in their work spaces.
After receiving her B.A. from Seattle Pacific University, Tamar spent many years in a professional sales role. Recognized as one of the organization’s top salespersons, she had the opportunity to travel across the country to launch new products, participate in public speaking events, train colleagues, and engage in marketing focus groups. She went on to receive her Masters in Teaching from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota to pursue her passion for education. She also holds her Real Estate license, and is actively involved in real estate investing with her husband, Bruce.
A mom to three elementary-aged children, including twins, Tamar finds joy in participating in programs that enhance education and cultivate thriving communities. When she’s not working, she loves traveling, gardening, kayaking, hiking, playing on the beach, and pretty much anything where she can enjoy the beautiful outdoors with her family. She also likes smiling. A lot.
