Denver, CO – Wayne D’Amico, a well-respected and experienced commercial real estate practitioner, will be inaugurated tonight in Las Vegas as the newest President of the Certified Commercial Investment Member Institute (CCIM). D’Amico, with RE/MAX Right Choice in Trumbull, CT, has more than 25 years of experience in the industry, and is the fourth CCIM President to come from the RE/MAX Commercial ranks. CCIM is the leader in commercial and investment real estate education and services.
“It’s an honor to be recognized by the CCIM community and some of the top commercial practitioners in the business,” said D’Amico, who has $400 million in commercial projects to his credit. “I can’t wait to get started. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to represent CCIM and our members as we work in strengthening the economic recovery.”
D’Amico succeeds other CCIM Presidents from RE/MAX including Richard Juge of RE/MAX Commercial Brokers in Metairie, LA (2009), the late Tim Hatlestad of RE/MAX Commercial Investment in Scottsdale, AZ (2007) and Bob Behrens of RE/MAX Commercial Services in Denver, CO (2004).
As the commercial market has strengthened, RE/MAX Commercial has grown. Since January 1st of this year, 49 new RE/MAX Commercial Divisions have been added, bringing the total number of offices and divisions to 400 in 45 countries with more than 3,000 commercial practitioners. And, those practitioners have been busy. RE/MAX Commercial agents have increased volume by 10% and transactions by 4% over 2011. During the past decade, average sales and lease volume for RE/MAX Commercial has topped $8.1 billion each year.
That measure of success has not gone unnoticed. RE/MAX Commercial is ranked in National Real Estate Investor (NREI) magazine’s Top 25 list of commercial brokerage networks, and ranked in the Top 25 Commercial Real Estate Brands in the 2012 Lipsey Company Survey.
“It is very rewarding to see how buyers, sellers, investors and other real estate professionals hold RE/MAX Commercial practitioners in high esteem,” said Mike Reagan, RE/MAX Senior Vice President, RE/MAX Commercial.
“We know that Wayne will serve in the tradition of the RE/MAX practitioners who went before him, and that his leadership will leave a legacy in the commercial industry.”
D’Amico will be sworn in during the CCIM Live! Conference at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino the evening of Monday, October 15.
RE/MAX Commercial has the most Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designees in Canada and one of the largest CCIM contingents in the industry.
