$10K Grand Prize Awarded for “My Perfect Fit” Contest

DENVER, CO – Dusan Slepcevic of Henderson, Nev., has been named the $10,000 grand- prize winner of the RE/MAX “My Perfect Fit” social contest. Slepcevic entered the contest with an inspirational story about appreciating the beauty of nature in his own backyard.

His story, “A Grow Anything Yard,” was one of more than 80 stories submitted throughout the five-week contest and one of the 10 most popular to make the final grand-prize voting week.

“When I submitted my story to the contest, I couldn’t imagine making it to the final round, let alone winning the grand prize of $10,000,” Slepcevic said. “My grow anything yard is personally an inspiration to me and I shared it with RE/MAX to show how even the outside of your house - landscaping, the view, a place for your dog to run - can make your home the perfect fit.”

The RE/MAX “My Perfect Fit” contest was launched on Sept. 16 in connection with the brand’s national ad campaign “For All the Things That Move You®.” Consumers were asked to share exactly what made their homes the perfect fit - whether it’s a close- knit neighborhood or a chef’s kitchen, everyone’s perfect fit is unique.

Stories, photos and even a few clever videos were submitted through the contest website, www.myperfectfit.remax.com. Voters chose five weekly-winners who received a $750 Apple® gift card. The 10 entries that received the most weekly votes were eligible to win the $10,000 grand prize.

Among the stories submitted were ones of humor, rescue, tranquility, the unforgettable feeling of being surrounded by loved ones during the holidays, and even a RE/MAX agent who helped ignite a property manager’s career.

“We asked consumers to share personal preferences, and the response was truly overwhelming,” said Mike Ryan, RE/MAX Executive Vice President, Global Communications and Branding. “Stories ranged from humorous to heartfelt. This contest allowed us to better understand consumers, and therefore broaden our passion and commitment to helping homebuyers and sellers find their perfect fit.”

Throughout the five weeks, more than 80 stories were entered to the contest site, which garnered over 34,000 unique visitors to remax.com and more than 20.1 million media impressions.
