Mike Ryan - Executive Vice President

Responsibilities:

Mike Ryan oversees Strategic Alliances, Multimedia, Education and the RE/MAX Approved Supplier program. He works closely with executive management throughout the company, developing core strategies and creating key initiatives for continued growth. Mike is also active in building high-level relationships within real estate as well as in government, finance and the information/data industry.

RE/MAX career:

Mike joined RE/MAX in 1994 and was instrumental in launching the award-winning RE/MAX Satellite Network, the first-ever business television network in the real estate industry. In 2006, as Senior Vice President of Media and Training, he directed its evolution into RE/MAX University, a 24/7, on-demand platform broadcasting in High Definition to RE/MAX Associates around the globe.
 
In 2008, Mike and his team began working with U.S. government officials on housing policy to address challenges facing owners of distressed properties. He also spearheaded an initiative to educate Realtors on short sales, REOs and other aspects of the down market. Those efforts helped RE/MAX weather the storm and emerge from the recession well-positioned for growth.
 
Mike serves on blue-ribbon education and finance panels of the National Association of Realtors, with the goal of establishing industrywide standards for real estate training and education.
 
In 2011 Mike was promoted to Executive Vice President. In 2013 he played a key role in the Initial Public Offering of RE/MAX stock, coordinating activities among a wide variety of teams. In recent years Mike led departments such as Brand Marketing, Creative Services, Events and Corporate Communications.
 
Mike shifted to his current focus in January 2015 and continues to provide strategic insight and advice at the highest levels of the organization.

Roots:

Born and raised in Fort Mitchell, Ky., Mike attended Northern Kentucky University. Before joining RE/MAX, he was a consultant for MAC Productions in the Greater Cincinnati area.

Personal:

Mike lives in Highlands Ranch, Colo., with his wife, Diane. They have three children and three grandchildren. Mike enjoys golfing, hiking, biking and a host of other outdoor activities.
