Larry Oberly
Vice President, International Development
RE/MAX, LLC

Larry Oberly is responsible for the operations and growth of the RE/MAX network’s international presence.

Oberly joined RE/MAX in 1998 as a Management Consultant for the RE/MAX Central Ohio Region. He moved to RE/MAX World Headquarters in Denver in 2000 as Assistant Regional Director for RE/MAX Southwest. He was quickly promoted to Regional Director, and in 2001 was named Regional Vice President for the operation, which covers Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico.

In 2005, he was promoted to Vice President, Regional Development, and one year later was named Vice President, International Development. He oversees growth of RE/MAX outside North America, having helped spread RE/MAX to 84 countries on six continents.

He is skilled in business operations, franchise sales and development, field services, sales, training and project management. He is a recognized team-builder and negotiator with strong assets in customer satisfaction, growth, profitability and retention.

During the seven years preceding his RE/MAX affiliation, Oberly was a multi-unit owner of Baskin-Robbins franchises in the St. Louis area. From 1989-93, he was a vice president for a privately held service and maintenance company operating in 19 states. He served as a product manager, in systems marketing and as a senior systems analyst in product development for System One Corporation, a division of Texas Air Corporation. During five years with Ozark Airlines, he held various positions, including pricing analyst, training supervisor and manager of outside sales.

Oberly earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Kent State University in Ohio in 1981, graduating summa cum laude. He completed his MBA at California State University - Dominguez Hills in Carson, Calif., in 1999. He holds the Certified Residential Broker (CRB) designation as well as the Transnational Referral Certification (TRC), International Real Estate Specialist (IRES) and Six Sigma Green Belt.

In addition to playing golf, he has participated in half and full marathons since 2006. An avid sports fan, he also enjoys travel, reading non-fiction and spending time with family and friends. Oberly and his wife, JoLinda, an entrepreneur who owns a medical training company, have one son, Andrew.
