Gilbert L. (Chip) Baird III

Baird is a partner in the Boston office of Weston Presidio, having joined the firm in 2001.
Prior to Weston Presidio, he worked at The Beacon Group, a private equity and advisory firm acquired by JP Morgan Chase in 2000. While at The Beacon Group, he focused on business and consumer services, energy and general manufacturing companies. Prior to The Beacon Group, he worked in the Investment Banking Division of Merrill Lynch. His investment banking experience includes mergers and acquisitions, high-yield financings, and equity offerings.
In addition to his position on the RE/MAX, LLC, Board of Managers, he serves as a director of Apple American Group (the largest franchisee of Applebee’s restaurants), Azul Linhas Aereas, Evenflo and Summit Energy Services. Other portfolio companies he works with include Integrity Interactive, Associated Materials, Herald Media, Integro, and Rockwood Service Corporation.
Baird serves on the advisory board of Los Angeles-based Tucker Partners and New York-based D2K Partners. He is also a member of The Caritas Group, a non-profit organization benefiting Massachusetts-based charities.
Baird received a Bachelor of Science in finance and international business from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business.
He and his wife, Jaimie, live in Boston and have two young children.
