William E. Soteroff
Executive Vice President, U.S. & International Regional Development
RE/MAX, LLC

For more than 20 years, William Soteroff has dedicated his career to nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit of independent businesspeople around the world. It’s a commitment that perfectly positions him for success with RE/MAX.

As Executive Vice President, U.S. & International Regional Development, Soteroff oversees operations and growth of all Company Owned and Managed Regions, and guides all aspects of the RE/MAX organization’s global presence, which far surpasses that of any competitor.

Largely due to Soteroff’s leadership, entrepreneurs across the globe are operating under the RE/MAX brand in more than 84 countries. That’s approximately 90,000 agents in more than 6,200 offices.

Soteroff joined the RE/MAX network in 1993 as Executive Vice President and Regional Director of RE/MAX of New England. He grew that region to more than 2,500 Affiliates in 250 offices.

In 2001, he became Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director of RE/MAX Europe, based in Vienna, Austria. In that role he opened a new era in the RE/MAX network’s expansion, building the European operation into a force of 10,000 agents in 1,400 offices across 31 countries.

In 2006 Soteroff moved to RE/MAX World Headquarters and took his mission global, spreading the brand to countries across six continents - adding 38 countries to the network in four years.

Soteroff continues that fast pace today, as Broker/Owners and entrepreneurs in markets around the world embrace the value of a trustworthy global brand that stands for high-quality real estate service - in any language.

Among the accolades Soteroff has received is the RE/MAX organization’s highest honor, the Distinguished Service Award, which he received in 2010. He also was twice named RE/MAX Regional Director of the Year: in 1996 with RE/MAX of New England and 2005 with RE/MAX Europe.

A native of Canada, Soteroff is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario. He and his wife, Elisabeth (his university sweetheart), live in Denver, Colorado. Their daughter, Sarah, is an advertising executive with an international firm and their son, Matthew, is a law student in New England.
