Adam Contos
Regional Vice President
RE/MAX Florida

Following a long, successful career in law enforcement, Adam Contos began working for the RE/MAX organization as an independent contactor in August 2003, presenting a safety training and awareness program he created specifically for real estate agents. The highly regarded program (S.A.F.E.R.) was presented to RE/MAX Affiliates and others in the industry across North America. Contos continues to offer it today by special request.

In April 2004, Contos signed on full time with RE/MAX as a Senior Franchise Development Consultant for RE/MAX Mountain States. In August 2005, he was named Regional Vice President of that region.

In 2007, after RE/MAX Headquarters acquired the formerly independent RE/MAX California and Hawaii Region, Contos was named its Regional Vice President. In January 2010, he took on his current position as Regional Vice President, RE/MAX Florida, overseeing all franchising and development operations.

Prior to his affiliation with RE/MAX, Contos served with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in Colorado from 1993 to 2004. He advanced through a number of positions, including: Deputy Sheriff; Corporal/Investigator; Sergeant of Court Services and Detentions Division; SWAT Tactical Commander; and Lieutenant (Watch Commander) for the Patrol Division.

Contos served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves from 1990 to 1996 and was honorably discharged as a sergeant.

He grew up in the Greenwood Village-area of metro Denver, attended Denver’s Cherry Creek High School and studied criminal justice at Metropolitan State College of Denver.
