DAVE LINIGER PLEDGES ASSISTANCE TO SEVERELY WOUNDED SOLDIERS

Sentinels of Freedom Foundation Now Able to Help Veterans Nationwide

(Denver, Colo., March 05, 2007) - Before a cheering crowd of nearly six thousand RE/MAX affiliates, Co-Founder and Chairman Dave Liniger announced plans to provide the funding necessary to take The Sentinels of Freedom Foundation to a national level. The four year "scholarship" program has already helped six severely wounded veterans in northern California by providing them with housing, employment, transportation and education. Liniger said the program's objective is to "welcome these heroes home, and provide the most severely wounded with a comfortable transition period back into civilian life. Now, we can make it happen in communities across the country."

Also speaking at the annual RE/MAX International Convention was Army Sergeant Joey Bozik, a triple amputee who served in Bosnia, Afghanistan and Iraq. Sgt. Bozik gave an emotional speech to the attendees. "I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am to the Sentinels of Freedom. It's really been a life changing experience for me." Thanks to The Sentinels of Freedom, Joey has a job with Wells Fargo bank and an apartment in Danville, CA for him and his wife Jayme.

The Sentinels of Freedom was founded by a group of community leaders in San Ramon and Danville, CA. Their organizer, Mike Conklin, is the father of three Army Rangers. He was inspired to help wounded soldiers after one of his sons was injured in Iraq. Conklin said it was easy to start the Sentinels. "Everyone wants to help. It's just the right thing to do. They're our sons and daughters and they have dreams and goals despite their physical limitations."

With the pledge of financial assistance from RE/MAX International, Mike Conklin will become the national coordinator of The Sentinels of Freedom Foundation, responsible for training team leaders in towns across America. The goal in the first year is to welcome home and provide for 50 severely wounded veterans.
