RE/MAX REACHES 120,000 AGENT MILESTONE

(Greenwood Village, Colo., August 2, 2006) - Real estate franchisor, RE/MAX International announced that its global membership of real estate sales associates has now reached 120,000 in 63 countries. Recently, the network also announced that franchise sales were ahead of last year’s mid-year pace.
"July’s agent growth took us over the 120,000 mark and was our 402nd month of continuous growth," commented Vinnie Tracey, president of RE/MAX International. "Obviously, we are pleased with both the continued agent growth and increases in franchise sales around the world. We have some truly great people at every level of this organization, and the fact that agents continue to select RE/MAX is indicative of their desire to associate with other like-minded career professionals."
At year end 2005, RE/MAX had 114,417 sales associates in the network, representing a 13.9 percent growth for the year. The net growth of 5,583 agents so far this year puts RE/MAX on pace for similar agent growth for 2006.
Regions with the largest increase in sales associates were Ontario Atlantic Canada with 580; Portugal added 442; Carolinas increased 366; Western Canada at 342; and Georgia with 263.
"The regional operations are excelling in their franchise sales efforts, broker/owners continue to grow and expand their operations and we anticipate opening in additional countries this year," added Tracey.
