(Greenwood Village, Colo., January 19, 2006) - The residents of more than 15,000 apartments, managed by McKinley will now have the opportunity to participate in the
RE/MAX Heading Home program. Based in Ann Arbor, Mich., McKinley was founded in 1968 by Ambassador Ronald N. Weiser and is led by Albert M Berriz, company president and CEO.
McKinley is a leader in all aspects of real estate and manages more than 15,000 apartments and 4.5 million square feet of commercial space in the United States with regional offices in Akron, Indianapolis, Norfolk, Oklahoma City and Orlando. The 700 member team at McKinley manages properties in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Oklahoma. McKinley manages over $1.2 billion in assets and has a 35-year track record of success.
"The
RE/MAX Heading Home program is an ideal benefit for our residents," said Diana Kern, executive vice president of McKinley. "Our core purpose has always been to enrich the quality of life in our communities, and that includes providing opportunities for those who live in the properties we manage. We know that many of our residents have a goal of home ownership, and if we can assist them in accomplishing that goal, it results in more stable neighborhoods and stronger communities."
RE/MAX Heading Home is a membership program which allows renters to earn credits based on current monthly rental payments. Mortgage lenders participating in the program will assist prospective homeowners with mortgage qualification and ultimately apply earned credits at loan closing. A percentage of monthly rent is accrued as a credit against closing costs up to a maximum of one percent (not to exceed $4,000 total) of the mortgage loan. When the member is ready to find that perfect home, a matched
RE/MAX real estate agent will be assigned to assist in the search.
"We are pleased to associate this program with the McKinley properties," said Christopher Volgenau, vice president of
RE/MAX Heading Home. "The proven successful track record of McKinley in all real estate endeavors means they truly get things done. Their involvement in and support of the communities in which their properties are located is indicative of their commitment to not only their residents but the entire society of the area."
