Mike Reagan joined
RE/MAX International, Inc. in 1990 as Director of Conventions, was promoted to Vice President of Conventions and Meetings in 1992 and was named Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing and Event Management in September 2004. He oversees all advertising programs and events of
RE/MAX International.
Each year, Reagan and his staff direct, produce and manage more than 400 meetings, conventions, education programs, special events and sponsored activities. Exemplary of his contributions is the annual
RE/MAX International Convention, with more than 8,000 participants. This event is consistently rated as one of the most important services provided to
RE/MAX members.
Reagan co-produces the annual
RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship, one of the largest grassroots golf events in the world, with more than 15,000 competitors in 14 countries. In 1999, he served as executive director of the 1999
RE/MAX Cup National Gas Balloon Championship which established several new records in the world's oldest form of manned flight and determined the United States entrants in the 44 th Coupe Aéronautique Gordon Bennett held in Belgium in 2000. He also headed up the "
RE/MAX Balloon Celebration," a three-day hot air and gas balloon event connected with "Inventing Flight: Dayton 2003 - The 100 th Anniversary of Flight" in Dayton, Ohio.
Reagan studied graphic design, advertising and marketing at Ohio University, Athens, Ohio, where he received a School of Fine Arts talent scholarship and was finalist four years in AAF national advertising competition. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1978, and attended a private design school in Cincinnati for one year. He made his first mark on the corporate event industry when he arranged one of the only private charter flights on a British Airways Concorde Supersonic jet in June 1988.
As a member of Meeting Professionals International and numerous regional and national convention and meeting planners' organizations, he has served as panelist and guest speaker on several convention industry programs. Reagan also has served as advisor to such organizations as Walt Disney World Council of Advisors, the ITT Sheraton Advisory Board, Marriott Masters Advisory Board and the San Diego Convention Advisory Board. He was Exhibit Director for National Business Travel Association from 1986-1991 and earned the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation in 1991. He served on the board of directors of the Colorado PGA Foundation and the Cherry Creek Schools Foundation and is a member of the Community Advisory Board of The Wildlife Experience, a unique Southeast Denver museum and civic venue that promotes wildlife conservation through many forms of art and a variety of educational tools.
Mike is an avid golfer, club builder and artist. He is married to Cinda, who has her own business, and they have three children - Andy, Jessica and Tyler.
