LARRY E. OBERLY
Vice President, International Development

Larry Oberly joined the RE/MAX organization in 1998 as a Management Consultant in the Central Ohio regional operation. He moved to the Denver headquarters facility in 2000 to accept the position of Assistant Regional Director for RE/MAX Southwest, Inc. He was quickly promoted to Regional Director and in 2001 was named Vice President for the operation which covers the states of Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico. In August 2005, Oberly was promoted to Vice President, Regional Development of RE/MAX International and in December 2006 was named Vice President, International Development. He works closely with Bill Soteroff, Senior Vice President of International Development in oversight of the rapid expansion of offices outside North America.

For more than twenty years he has acquired experience and applied skills in business operations, field services, sales, training and project management. He is a recognized team-builder and negotiator with strong assets in customer satisfaction, growth, profitability and retention.

During the seven years preceding his RE/MAX affiliation, Oberly was a multi-unit owner of Baskin-Robbins franchises in the St. Louis, Missouri area. From 1989-93, he was a vice president for a privately held service and maintenance company operating in 26 cities and 19 states. He served as a product manager, in systems marketing and as a senior systems analyst in product development for System One Corporation, a division of Texas Air Corporation. During five years with Ozark Airlines, he held various positions including pricing analyst, training supervisor and manager of outside sales.

Oberly earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio in 1981, graduating summa cum laude. He completed an MBA at California State University - Dominguez Hills in Carson, Calif. in 1999. He has also held the Certified Residential Broker (CRB) designation since 2000.

In addition to playing golf, he has participated in half and full marathons since 2006 – and is an avid spectator of all football and NCAA men’s tournaments. He also enjoys travel, reading non-fiction and spending time with family and friends. Oberly and his wife JoLinda, an ICU Registered Nurse, have one son named Andrew.
