Nathan “Chip” Brekken joined RE/MAX as a Franchise Development Consultant for the Southwest Region in February 2003 and by June 2004 had been promoted to Senior Franchise Development Consultant. He earned the position of Regional Director in August 2005 and was made Regional Vice President in February of 2006, overseeing franchising operations in the states of Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico.
Prior to joining RE/MAX, Brekken worked for Travelers Express/Moneygram, Inc. (a subsidiary of the VIAD Corporation) in St. Louis Park, Minn. beginning as a Financial Analyst in July 1995. He was promoted to Account Executive of Financial Services in March 1998 and relocated to Seattle, Wash. where he was responsible for expanding the account base in the Pacific Northwest, including the states of Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. Previous to his affiliation with Travelers, he was an accountant for HealthPartners in Minneapolis.
Brekken was born and raised in Crookston, Minn, and earned a Bachelor of Accounting degree from the University of Minnesota in 1992.
He and wife, Tracy, enjoy skiing, golfing, hiking, backpacking and most outdoor activities.
