11.14.07 - New Initiative Offers Education, Training Funds for Military Spouses
Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates joined Labor Secretary Elaine L. Chao today in supporting a new initiative to help military spouses get the education and other credentials needed to pursue careers in high-demand, high-growth occupations.
7. 23.07 - RE/MAX Ranked Third Best Military-Spouse Employer in U.S.
With the help of the Operation RE/MAX effort, RE/MAX ranked No. 3 on Military Spouse magazine’s list of "Military Spouse-Friendly Employers." The Top 10 list was published in the August 2007 edition of the magazine which serves the more than 1.1 million spouses of active-duty and reserve servicemen and servicewomen.
5.4.07 - RE/MAX Honored with Exceptional Public Service Award
RE/MAX International Vice Chairman and Co-Founder Gail Liniger accepted the “Office of the Secretary of Defense Exceptional Public Service Award” during a May 4, 2007 ceremony at the Pentagon. RE/MAX received the award for its support of the U.S. Armed Forces through programs such as Operation RE/MAX, Sentinels of Freedom and the RE/MAX Tour for the Troops.

National Freedom Walk, Sept. 7, 2008
The National Freedom Walk was created to commemorate the attack on the Pentagon and to honor the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001. There are now Freedom Walks in more than 130 cities, each year.
