Located on the east shore of Cayuga Lake, it is one of my favorite places to watch the sunset, but there is a lot to do at the park. There are several camping spots with electric and water hookups, two playgrounds for kids of all ages, a swimming area, restrooms/showers, BBQ spots, Pavilions (that can be rented or simple used if available) and much more.

Ludlowville Park is a small public park with a playground, basketball hoop and a gazebo that houses free summer concerts. It is also one of the best places to view Ludlowville Falls. The Falls are a part of Salmon Creek that flows south into Cayuga Lake, which is unusual as most tributaries flow north into the lake.

Yes, Ithaca is Gorges, as they say. However; the Finger Lakes Region is riddled with tributaries and lakes that are ideal for fishing. In Cayuga Lake you will find many trout, landlocked Salmon and even the occasional Pike.

Both Seneca and Cayuga Lakes are attached to the Erie Canal. So if you are so inclined you could boat from anywhere on these two lakes, to the Hudson River, and then to the Atlantic Ocean and beyond!

Cayuga Lake is one of the Finger Lakes in Upstate New York. It is second only to Seneca Lake to the immediate west as the largest/deepest glacial lakes that make up the Finger Lakes. See link from Cornell's Geological study of the area - one of my favorite links to explain our Region topography today.

The ball fields in the town of Lansing are buzzing in the summer months. Weekends and evenings the community comes together to play/watch baseball, softball, t-ball and soccer. On the weekend you can also pretty much be assured that there is a chicken BBQ to benefit a local non for profit or youth activity. There is also a sign out front that keeps residents up to date on sign up times for various recreational events.

Ludlowville is located in the town of Lansing and was once a center of commerce in the area. Today the store fronts have been converted to apartments and it is a quaint residential area surrounded by natural beauty. Salmon Creek and Ludlowville Falls are the attraction.

The Lansing Center Trail is located across from the ball fields. It is a safe place to walk, run and ski, but no motor vehicles are allowed on the trail. Pets on leashes are welcome. Carry in/carry out garbage policy is expected. Currently on this 140 acre of town land there are 2.8 miles of paths with the ultimate goal of four miles of paths. The group is still looking for donations to make the trail complete and managed.

The North Cabin is located in Myers Park, but it didn't start out there. It is said to be the oldest home in Lansing and was originally owned by the North family hence the name. It was bought, sold and moved several times before being placed in The Cayuga Museum of History and Art in Auburn NY. When the Museum changed some exhibits the North Cabin was again torn down and moved back to Lansing, but sat as logs for some years. Ed LaVigne, President of the Lansing Community Council ultimately sparks a plan to build the cabin through donation and volunteer time. See the link for more detailed History.

Myers Park is a town owned park in Lansing, as a result of it generously being gifted to the town by a former Mayor Arthur Myers. Myers Park turned 100 in 2013 and is a thriving hub for recreation, especially in the warmer months.

The Lake at Myers Park has a marina and for a small fee you can put your boat in without renting a slip. You can rent Kayaks and Stand Up Paddleboards by the hour or day.
Through the summer many events take place, weekly Thursday free concerts, fireworks for July 4th, Festival in August to name a few.
