    If you're looking to settle into one of Northern New Jersey's most upscale areas without spending a small fortune, consider the Spring Ridge division of condominiums in bucolic Basking Ridge. It's a collection of over 1,000 condominiums in the $200-$300k range, along with 80 duplex homes and 30 single family homes in the $400-$500k range, set in the lovely Somerset Hills.

    Spring Ridge is centrally located close to several major highways, accessible directly off of exit 36 on I-78, four miles away from I-287, four miles away from routes 202/206, and seven miles away from route 22. Also, Basking Ridge township has two train stations (Lyons and BR) with easy access to New York via the Morris and Essex train lines, so there's lots of commuting options.

    This is a very active area whose residents tend to love outdoor activities, and the Spring Ridge development has plenty of amenities. There are hiking and biking paths that run up and down the main avenue of the entire development. There's a clubhouse and a large in-ground pool for hot summer days. There's two tennis courts and a playground. Whatever you are into, you'll be able to enjoy any outdoor activity on the development's 326 acres of very well kept grounds and greens.

    Many of the condos and houses in Spring Ridge feature garages and basements. The top level condominiums often feature fireplaces, cathedral ceilings (at least 14 feet high), skylights, and decks. The units are one or two bedrooms. Many were built from late 1982 to the mid-1990’s, and are consequently in good overall condition.

    It's rare to find a place to live in a lovely, well kept, high class area without paying a premium price. The Spring Ridge development in Basking Ridge is all that, and located less than an hour from New York City. If you're looking for a peaceful place to live close to the city in the $200 to $500k budget range, Spring Ridge is the spot.
  • As a long time resident of Spring Ridge community, I would like to share my opinion with anyone who is looking to make Spring Ridge their new home. This development consists of over 1,000 condominium units, 80 duplex homes, and 30 single family detached homes with a wide range of pricing options to choose from. It has eight tennis courts, a community pool, playground, and separate walking path and bike lanes along tree-lined Spring Valley Boulevard. The landscape is well manicured and professionally maintained. It has been a great place to call home!
