Looking for something to do in the Netcong area? If you love music, there's lots of chances to catch visiting acts. Chubby Checker will be at the Mayo Performing Arts Center on 10/16/15. Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein (the guitarist from the Misfits) will be rocking out at the Stanhope House in neighboring Stanhope. Ed Kowalczyk, former lead singer of Live (and now a solo artist) will feature hits from his solo career and band days at the Newton Theater in Newton. And that's all in the same week in October!

If you'd rather get out and enjoy the great outdoors, the Netcong area has lots of public parks with walking/running trails. This area of Morris County is just east of the Appalachian trail. In Netcong itself, there's DiRenzo Park off of Dell Road, the site of the summertime "Concerts in the Park" live band performances on Fridays. It's got a cute little gazebo picnic area with a nice view of the water. Musconetcong State Park has a serene, glacier-fed lake that offers picturesque hiking trails and cabins in the park for those who want an overnight camping experience. Anything you could want to do in water can be found at Hopatcong State Park, where Lake Hopatcong is the local attraction for fishing, swimming, and boating.
