Many people suffer from knee pain these days and want to move away from getting a knee replacement. Evidently there is an alternative to knee replacement using Hyaluronate which acts as a lubricant and shock absorber inside the knee joint. The use of precision fluoroscopy guidance ensures that lubricant reaches the knee capsule. Central Jersey Spine and Wellness in Freehold offers this procedure. Call them directly for more information and ask for a free consultation appointment 732-683-1800. I know several people who have found great success with this procedure. Best wishes!

It’s no secret that New York is known for having great pizza. As a born and bred Brooklyn girl, there were many pizzerias to choose from, and each area wanted to claim bragging rights to having the best pizza. So, it comes as no surprise to me that a poll of the best pizzeria in Freehold, as conducted by RE/MAX Dreams, resulted in Krispy Pizza coming in at #1! It's a family run business that was established in 1969 in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn. Brothers Vinny, Tony, Freddy and Al brought the legendary establishment - started by their dad, Peter - to Freehold, New Jersey in 2012 and continue their family’s tradition of having the best pizza in town.

Topping the list of 20 varieties of pizza is their specialty pie, Grandma’s Pizza, a thin crust Sicilian with fresh mozzarella, fresh tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, and just the right touch of basil. In addition to this customer favorite, Krispy offers a fabulous Fresh Mozzarella Pie, Palermo Square, and Chicken Parmigiana Pie. As someone who has eaten here frequently, I would be remiss if I didn’t give a special shout out to their Prosciutto Balls – mini rice balls filled with cheese and prosciutto. They never disappoint! In a day and age when many restaurant menus offer everything under the sun, the Krispy Pizza menu manages to offer a great variety of pizza, heroes, pastas, and dinner dishes without straying from their roots, and what they do best.

Simply put, Krispy Pizza has found a way to bring the old neighborhood to Freehold and continue the tradition of serving great food in a warm atmosphere for generations of pizza lovers. That’s what it’s all about for these brothers, and they wouldn’t have it any other way!
Stop in for a delicious slice from the RE/MAX Dreams Voter’s Choice, Best Pizzeria in Freehold – Krispy Pizza. It's located at 136 Schanck Road in Freehold. Visit the link below for more information!

Thinking back to just a few short years ago, this time of year was always exciting. With my daughter in the marching band at Freehold Township High School, as well as being football fans overall, we were quickly indoctrinated into the world of high school football. Go Patriots! In each of the schools our daughter attended, we enjoyed and participated in the many events those schools offered; roller skating in the gym at Laura Donovan; Family Fun Nights at both Laura Donovan and Clifton T. Barkalow; bake sales; movie nights; fall fests; and, concerts. But, regardless of where you lived, when the Freehold Township High School field lights were on, the night sky lit up, you could hear the band playing in the distance, and you could tell just how our Patriots were doing by the cheers (or lack thereof) coming from the bleachers.

When she entered high school, and decided to be a part of the band, football season took on a whole new meaning. Now we were the bleacher creatures, and right in the middle of the excitement; cheerleaders performing; boosters selling snacks and team wear; the band pumping up the crowd and entertaining them during the half-time show; kids and adults with their hands in the air, hi-fives to each other after great plays and holding their heads in despair after disappointing plays; all of us with a hot cup of coffee or hot chocolate, wrapped in blankets, and for a couple of hours coming together as a community to support our boys. Win or lose games were fun, school spirit was high, and life was good. This is just a glimpse into one of the endless memories Freehold Township gave our family, and is sure to give your family...are you ready for some football?!

I was three months pregnant when my husband and I found our dream home in Monmouth Heights of Freehold. It was everything I hoped to find in a home to raise our child - a picturesque community with beautiful, tree lined streets, spacious homes, and property sizes that were large enough for privacy, but not so large that you couldn't see, or speak with your neighbors. Summers spent at the Monmouth Heights pool club was an easy way for my daughter to meet and make fast friendships with other kids in the neighborhood. It was also a great way for me to get to know the moms, many who are still my closest friends.

Michael Tighe Park was where my daughter began playing softball, which she would continue to play through college. Many memories and friendships were made on those beautiful ball fields, as well as the opportunity to take advantage of any number of activities offered by the Freehold Parks and Recreation. Being centrally located, we had the Jersey Shore Great Adventure, and the Freehold Raceway Mall, as well as our choice of orchards to go strawberry, peach, apple, and pumpkin picking!

Attending Laura Donovan Elementary School, Clifton T. Barkalow Middle School, and Freehold Township High School laid the ground work for her going off to and successfully graduating from Mt. St. Mary University, and starting her journey through law school. So many beautiful memories; so many strong friendships; a childhood my daughter describes as a fairy tale. Freehold Township, and Monmouth Heights were where we made our dreams come true!

The Stonehurst community in West Freehold consists of three to five bedroom single family homes. While these are older homes (built in two phases between 1963-1970), the expression "they don't make 'em like this anymore" always comes to mind when I think of this community. They were built solidly and built to last! Did I mention that hardwood floors in the living, dining and bedrooms were standard features? Homes are generously sized even by today's standards, ranging from a 1,750 square foot 3 bedroom ranch to a 2,800+ square foot 5 bedroom Dutch style colonial. There are several four bedroom models as well with the "Williamsburg" being the most popular at 2,450 square feet. Some additional information:

    - Almost all homes are on lots of around 1/2 acre, almost unheard of in new construction!

    - Stonehurst East is the first phase of the community and is bound by Schanck Rd to the North, Elton Adelphia to the South, Stillwells Corner Rd to the West, and Stonehurst Blvd to the East.

    - Stonehurst West, the second phase, has fewer homes and less clear borders but is located West of Stillwells Corner and South of Double Creek Parkway, where it then intermeshes with the Woodgate/Monmouth Heights and Contempra developments.

    - Children attend either West Freehold (Stonehurst W) or Laura Donovan (Stonehurst E) for elementary school (K-6), Clifton T. Barkalow School (6-8), and then Freehold Township High School.

    - Besides great schools, residents enjoy numerous recreation options with Michael Tighe and Turkey Swamp parks both located nearby, not to mention convenience to supermarkets, Freehold Raceway Mall, and Downtown Freehold dining and entertainment.

I love Wemrock. Do you want a home cooked pie from scratch? Then this place is a must. From the minute you enter through the door you get the smell of fresh made apple pies in the oven..yum . Wemrock also sells old fashion candy, which I love. They also sell fresh bread, pies, cakes, jar's of spices, and frozen food.

Reminds me of a little country market. If your'e visiting Freehold over the holiday this place is definitely worth a stop!

The name Freehold comes from an English legal term describing fee simple ownership. That's not the story I was told by an owner of a home in Tinton Falls under which the Underground Railroad ran. When we meet, ask me and I will tell you the real story. Or at least what I was told. For a little hint, it has something to do with the Revolutionary War.

Freehold Township dates back to 1693 and was one of the three original towns in Monmouth County. The others, Shrewsbury and Middletown, I will cover in other insights.

If you want all the history, Google it. This was just meant to be a tidbit to wet your appetite for more.

Come back soon to see some views of the town.

If you are looking for a great place to shop, you have to visit the Freehold Raceway Mall! The mall is absolutely beautiful and is centrally located off of Route 9 and Route 537 in Freehold Township. The mall has just about everything you may be looking for. The anchors are Lord & Taylor, Sears, JC Penney, Macy's and Nordstrom. There are many, many other specialty stores as well from sporting goods stores to clothing stores, shoe stores and home goods stores as well.

If you are looking to get something to eat, you have so many options there, too! The food court is filled with so many choices. If you want more of a "sit down" meal, there is an assortment of restaurants from PF Changs China Grill to Ruby Tuesdays and Brio Tuscan Grille. There is a Cheesecake Factory, a Qdoba Mexican Grill, a Friendly's and a Bobby's Burger Palace, too.

The mall pulls out all the stops when the Christmas season is near with wonderful holiday decorations.
Come visit the Freehold raceway Mall and experience a little bit of shopper's heaven!
