Friday’s Final Thought: Change is Coming, But Don’t Panic!Fri, February 26, 2016
Change is always out there. A new family member, a new career path, a new plan for your health, a new challenge in the economy. It always seems to strike just when things are feeling comfortable.
Change can be tough, but there are ways to ease the transition through it. Here are a few tips to help you adjust:
Practice changing now – Routine is great, and even a strategy for success. On the other hand, inflexibility in that routine can be harmful. Get in the habit of mixing things up by choice so you’re more comfortable being flexible when change is forced upon you.
Multi-change – Use a change you didn’t choose as an opportunity to make others you’ve wanted to try – or maybe even ones you've never considered before.
Don’t change alone – You may feel like you’re in uncharted territory, but others have been in your position. Talk with people about their experiences making similar changes. It’s always a good feeling to know you’re not alone, plus they may have tips to help you adjust.
