Roger Dow is President and Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. Travel Association, the national umbrella organization representing all segments of the U.S. travel and tourism industry.
Prior to joining U.S. Travel, Roger rose through the ranks at Marriott International, beginning his career as a summer lifeguard. During his 34 years with Marriott, he directed every aspect of sales and marketing. He developed Marriott Rewards, the world's leading frequent-traveler program.
Among Roger's honors: Association Trends magazine's 2008 Association Executive of the Year; the Convention Industry Council’s (CIC) prestigious Hall of Leaders; one of the 25 most influential people in the meetings industry by MeetingNews; and American Society of Association Executives' (ASAE) Academy of Leaders Award.
Roger frequently speaks on leadership, sales, marketing and management, and has co-authored two books. He served in the United States Army with the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam, where he received the Bronze Star and other citations.
A native of New Jersey, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Seton Hall University, where he was named 2012 Alumnus of the Year.
Roger resides in St. Petersburg, Fla., with his wife, Linda.
