
Responsibilities:
Ricardo Cardenas oversees all operations and expansion in Mexico, Central America and South America, as well as the numerous nations and territories in the Caribbean where RE/MAX operates. Under his tenure, the region has grown from 500 to 3,000 agents.
RE/MAX career:
Ricardo joined the network as Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Golden Real Estate in El Salvador. In 1998, he placed third worldwide in RE/MAX in number of units sold. He also played a significant role in the translation of RE/MAX franchisee training manuals from English to Spanish.
In 2000, Ricardo joined RE/MAX World Headquarters as a Management Consultant, and was soon promoted to Senior Management Consultant, working in the Caribbean Basin and Mexico regions. He was named Regional Director of RE/MAX Mexico in 2001, and in 2003 was made Vice President of that region, along with RE/MAX Caribbean Islands and Central America. In 2007, he was named Vice President, Latin America & the Caribbean.
Roots:
Ricardo was born and raised in El Salvador. He holds an MBA from Georgia State University in Atlanta, and was a Fulbright Scholar. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Central American University in El Salvador.
Personal:
Ricardo has two children and lives in the Denver suburbs with his wife. He enjoys golf, photography and walking his dogs.
