Daryl (Jes) Jesperson joined RE/MAX in 1975, when he accepted a Sales Associate position with a suburban Denver office. During that first year, he was named “Rookie of the Year” by the Board of Realtors. Daryl made the move to RE/MAX Headquarters as a National Marketing Consultant in 1976 and became one of the company's true cornerstones. Jes was involved in every phase of the RE/MAX organization during his 30-year tenure.
In 1978, as Vice President-Zone Director, Jes supervised the organization’s independent Regional Directors and overall development of the RE/MAX Franchise System. He was promoted to Vice President Operations in 1979 and became Senior Vice President in 1987. In 1993, he was named Executive Vice President, directing and supervising all RE/MAX internal operations. Jes was named RE/MAX President in 1997 and elevated to Chief Executive Officer in 2002. In 2004, he received the RE/MAX Distinguished Service Award, the most prestigious recognition in the organization. He retired in 2005.
Jes has earned the GRI, ABR, CRB and CRP professional designations, and served four years on the Board of Directors of the International Franchise Association.
He earned Business Administration and Psychology degrees from Adams State College, went on to a successful career as an officer in the United States Navy and later joined the Texaco, Inc., marketing department.
A voracious reader, Jes is also a food and wine enthusiast, and he enjoys golf, scuba diving and travel. His wife, Nan, had served RE/MAX since 1977, retiring also in 2005 as Vice President of RE/MAX Relocation.
